I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start! This Thursday at 6 PM there will be an information meeting in Microsoft Teams about the plan for band camp and the fall. The link to the meeting is at the bottom of this message. If you are new to St. Lucie Public Schools and do not have a school district account, e-mail me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will send you log-in information so you may attend the meeting.
I am very excited to see and work with everyone this fall and have been diligently going over the CDC, State, and School District guidelines to prepare a band camp experience, halftime show and fall with these things in mind so we can safely resume making music together. I hope to see you in a few days. Seniors, be sure to get in touch with the drum majors about this evening's meeting if you haven't already gotten the information from them.
Click here for Thursday's meeting link.
We've almost made it to the finish line, congratulations on hanging in there this tough nine weeks. Here's a little bit of information about the end of the school year for everyone. If you have any questions, send me a note in Teams or an e-mail to Luke.Hall@stlucieschools.org.
If you are returning in the fall you can check your instrument out for the summer by going to this link instead of coming to the school. If you have any questions or need any help be sure to contact me. https://forms.gle/ML6fW3v7np4jE2HfA

Symphonic Band 1/Jazz Band Audition Information
If you would like to audition for SB1 or the jazz band you can send your audition to me through teams or e-mail beginning Friday, May 22. If you'd like some help with the audition material contact me and we'll set up a time to work on it together. Be sure to indicate if you're auditioning for SB1, the jazz band or both!
2020-2021 Fair Share information
In light of the current economic climate we've reworked the band budget with our families in mind. The 2020-2021 Fair share is $100.00 for the school year. More information will be posted soon.
I hope everyone is staying safe as we continue to navigate everything going on. School starts back remotely tomorrow. Nothing happens in the band until Wednesday, April 1. Make sure you're logging in every other day beginning April 1 so you get credit for attendance like the district has stated you need to. Take your first two days back and just get in the groove of things. There's a short welcome video in each of the canvas courses, splash around in there a bit and just get used to things. I'm available if you have any questions.
The band room will be open one last time Tuesday morning 8-10. Come to the band room if you need to check out a horn, flag or percussion instrument.
I hope everyone is safe as we move through the Spring. As we get ready to move to the band being a digital environment, it's important to make sure you're receiving the e-mails coming out through Charms and that you know how to access your TEAMS account and Canvas through the school district. If you need any help please be sure to contact me. Students will need their instruments for the fourth nine weeks. Instruments and flags can be picked up/checked out the following dates and times this week: Monday 3/23 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Wednesday 3/25 8-10 AM, and Thursday 3/26 1-3 PM. Students will need to enter and exit through the front office (percussionists may drive around to pick-up keyboard percussion after they have checked in).
