Each year the Treasure Coast High School Titan Band Executive Leadership Team attends a four day leadership training workshop. Our students attend a very respected leadership camp that has been training band student leaders since 1972. Students from all over Florida and from other states attend this camp to develop the skills necessary to help lead their peers, and their school band programs, to a successful year.
Our students earned the following awards this year: Daily Awards: Our students at the leadership portion of the camp eared the spirit stick, Davor Scutt won an outstanding camper of the day award for percussion, Zoe Horne and Jordan Ragland won outstanding camper awards for student leaders. Camp Awards: Samantha Ferrara earned the Silver Outstanding Guard Award, Jordan Ragland earned the Sivler Outstanding Leadership Award, Zoe Horne earned the Gold Outstanding Leadership Award, Brian Kiernan earned an outstanding leadership medal. The students attending the leadership and drum major camps both earned the spirit sticks for their camps. Bianca Joseph received a superior rating on her evaluation as a Drum Major. Samantha Ferrara and Amanda Acevedo earned three superior ratings each on their evaluations at the color guard camp for their flag and rifle skills. The entire student leadership team also earned the camp's most prestigious award, the Penny's Award, for the second consecutive year. The Penny's Award recognizes the most outstanding school in the entire camp. This award recognizes the school with the most participation, good citizenship, great leaders, most pride, and most spirit at the camp. |
