Many students have sectionals scheduled this week, please check with your child and see if they have a sectional scheduled. Music Passoff #1 was due on Friday. Music Passoff #2 is due this Friday.
Due to the number of rained out rehearsals we will be scheduling a make-up rehearsal on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Students will be provided with lunch at that rehearsal. Forms must be submitted by the end of marching practice on Thursday, September 3 in order for students to attend the Jupiter game. Any students that do not have their forms turned in by then (handbook forms and syllabi) will not be able to attend the performance on September 4. These forms were due on Friday, August 28. If your child has not yet been fitted for a marching uniform, this must be done by this Thursday, September 3 as uniforms must be altered in time for the homecoming game.
Below is the itinerary for the Jupiter game. Please remember that ALL forms must be turned in no later than Thursday, September 3 in order to travel with the band. Students will wear their green show shirt, which will be given out next week, black jeans (or as dark as possible) with no rips or tears, a belt, and white shoes to the first game. The band will be eating dinner at the Gardens Mall, located at 3101 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. The football game is at Jupiter High School, located at: 500 N Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. Kickoff for the game is at 7:00 PM. The band will be on the visitors side. Admission to the game is $6.00. There is a parking charge of $2.00 by the Jupiter High School JROTC. Please note that the game ending time is subject to weather delays, how fast the game is progressing and other factors. Should there be a noticeable change in the dismissal time a text will be sent out via the remind system. Our first home game is Friday, September 11 and is at South County Stadium. Marching Practice on Tuesday will end at 4:30 PM due our executive leadership being recognized at the school board meeting Tuesday night. We will still have adult supervision for all students as if the band dismissed at 5:00 due to the late notice. Please make sure to bring your water cooler to marching practice already filled.

Band fee payment #2 is due this Friday and is $60.00. Please make sure to include your phone number and child’s name on all checks. The final payment of $30.00 is due at the end of October. If you have not yet made payment #1, it was $60.00 as well.
If you are interested in chaperoning the game to Jupiter, please make sure you have completed the school district’s parent volunteer registration. Instructions are located on the booster tab on the band website. Please contact Ms. Kiernan if you are interested in chaperoning the Jupiter game.
Please remember that if you are playing a school-owned instrument it must be signed out by Friday in order for you to continue using it.
The Marching Band will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday, please see the calendar for times. Please remember the dismissal time is what time the band is dismissed from the field at Whispering Pines. It takes them a few minutes to get back to the band room. Please remember we wear white tennis shoes, dark shorts/pants, and white shirts. Please make sure your child brings their water cooler to school on marching practice days already filled. Please make sure your child hydrates the night before and morning of marching practice. Students are not to be picked up or dropped off at Whispering Pines Park.
All bands will be on marching instruments the first week of school. All bands will play their first day of class except the Symphonic Winds (5th Hour Band). The Jazz Band will start the year on jazz instruments. The Colorguard needs to be prepared to dress out the first day of class.
All forms need to be submitted (including course syllabi) prior to the first game on September 4. Students may not attend any performances without all their paperwork turned in and complete. Forms are available on the student information page. Forms can be notarized at the booster meeting this Thursday evening at 7:00 PM.
Students will be filling out their shirt size for their show shirts on Monday and Tuesday. Shirts will be ordered on Wednesday. Please make sure you know your shirt size.
