Concert Band Band Midterm:
12 Major Scales in two minutes/Solo Recordings may be submitted on a flash drive or via e-mail. Please say your name at the beginning of each recording. Thursday: 1:41- Dismissal/Eat a snack/Change (You may use lobby restrooms and dressing rooms) 2:00 – Begin getting instruments/warm-up individually using scales and long tones/buzzing (rudiments and drop spins/stretching too!) 2:20 – Transition to auditorium and sit in designated areas. (Concert Band will start on stage) 2:30 – Begin Dress rehearsal 6:00 – Dismissal Friday: 9:03 – Report to band room/change/eat snack (please remember there are classes in the performing arts hallway). Bands will have to stay in the hallway on our end and in the band room. It will be tight. Bring a book to read and/or quite games 10:00-10:15 – Concert begins (it depends on what time Oak Hammock and SLW arrive) 11:30-11:45 – Concert ends/Dismissal to lunch/changing 12:05-12:15 – Finish lunch and transition to 6th hour 1:41 – School ends Mr. Hall will be staying through until the start of the evening concert. Students may stay but they must bring something to do. Students will need to bring dinner or go get dinner and come back. Please review with your child what you would like for them to do. Friday Night: 6:00 – Report time
7:00 – Concert begins 9:00 – Concert ends 9:15 – Dismissal Saturday Afternoon: 1:00 – Report time
2:00 – Concert begins 4:00 – Concert ends 4:15 – Dismissal Mr. Hall will be staying through until the start of the evening concert. Students may stay but they must bring something to do.
