This week’s news:
Marching Practice is Tuesday 2:30-5:00 and Thursday, 2:30-5:30. Please note that there is no school on Wednesday. Please check with your child to see if their section has a sectional scheduled on either day. Please remember that students need to bring their water cooler to school filled each day. Students should make sure to eat breakfast and lunch in addition to drinking water the night before and throughout the day. Students need to have their flip folders and chips for marching practice. Students are to wear dark shorts/light athletic pants and a white shirt. Students are encouraged to wear a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses to marching practice.
Passoff #4 is due next Friday. Please note that flip folders will no longer be allowed on the field as of October 2. Students who have not yet passed of their music by that date will not be able to march until their passoffs have been completed. Passoff #3 was due last Friday and is the Production. Students should have already completed Passoffs #1 and #2. Please ask your student and/or check Skyward to see if passoffs have been completed. If you have not yet done so, please get this taken care of. Please avoid waiting until the last minute.
Please remember that band fee payment #2 of $60.00 was due on August 28. The final band fee payment of $30.00 is due on Wednesday, September 30. If you have not yet made band fee payments 1 or 2 please do so as soon as possible. Please remember that our rainout marching rehearsal is on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.
This year's spring trip is on Friday, May 6. Information about the trip will be going out this week and will be posted to the trip section of the website. Students are currently able to sell program ads to raise money for this trip or for their band fees.

We are playing Westwood at Lawnwood this Friday. The game starts at 7:00 PM. We will be wearing full uniforms, including hats and plumes. We are performing at the Marching Chief’s invitational at Santaluces Community High School on Saturday, October 10. The band performs at 7:00 PM. The itinerary will be posted this Friday.
